Wow, what an experience!  It was awesome.  Cincy Doom '95 was probably the smallest team there but they had a lot of people talking.  The girls definitely represented Cincy Doom and all of Ohio very well!  We are proud of each and every one of them.  Every girl played a big part in our success this past week.  This was a very special team and we couldn't have asked for a better season.

DAY 1:  We attended the opening ceremonies last night.  It was very nice.  It sprinkled a little so it cooled down.  The girls traded their gift bags with Virginia Scrappers.  They got nice bags in return.  Wonder if the Scrappers liked their Longaberger bags??!!!  Hope they did!

DAY 2:  The girls lost their first pool play game 5-4.  They were up by two in the bottom of the 7th and fell short 5-4.  Next pool game is Tuesday at 1:00.

DAY 3:  The girls lost their second pool play game 3-2 to Fresno Force from California.  We had one bad inning when they scored 3.  Time expired in the 6th inning when Fresno Force was at bat with two outs.  Bracket play starts tomorrow at 1:00.  The girls play a number 1 seed from California - San Josea Sting.  Please send good luck thoughts their way!

DAY 4:  Lost to San Josea Sting 4 - 0.  Game Thursday at 11:00.  Hopefully we will win and get to play Friday.....  Wish them luck!

DAY 5:  After an eight hour delay, Cincy Doom '95 pulled out a win against Georgia Sting!!!  Going into the bottom of the 6th the score was 0 - 0.  Maddy Moran put a beautiful bunt down, Kayla Gregory walked and with two outs, Casie Hutchinson was up to bat.  She crushed one over the Right Fielders head about 200' for a triple (the fences are 210).  Two runs scored.  While Kaitlyn Gliha was up to bat there was a wild pitch and Hutchinson scored giving us 3 runs.  The girls then kept the Georgia Sting from scoring and Cincy Doom '95 wins their first ASA USA National game.  It was very exciting!  The girls defense was awesome - no errors!  Emily Anderson pitched 14 strikeouts.  GREAT JOB LADIES!  They play Friday at 6:30.

Day 6:  It's Saturday and the girls are still in the tournament!  Last night (Friday) Cincy Doom beat Compuware 4-1 after trailing 1 - 0 till the 6th inning.  Kayla Gregory crushed one to center field to score Madyson Moran and Michelle Mazur.  They then played Mean Green from Texas and won 4 - 3.  Mean Green was ahead most of the game.  Casie Hutchinson led the way with two runs scored.  Michelle Mazur delivered the game winning run in the top of the 6th.  It was a team win - so many great defenseive plays and hits when we needed them.  The girls are back at the fields today (Saturday) at 8:00 AM.  Thanks to 'Georgia Elite 95' for helping us cheer for the girls.  We're cheering for you in heart!

Day 7:  We were thrilled that it was Day 7 (Saturday) and Cincy Doom '95 was still playing ball at the ASA USA Nationals!  The girls lost 1 - 0 to Birmingham Sparks.  We are so proud of each and every one of these girls.  We had the best year anyone could ask for with such a young team.  The girls are the best kids ever and we had a great group of parents too.  Thanks to everyone involved with Cincy Doom '95.
